Support a Worthy Charity

We need your help! Nature League supports a variety of local groups and initiatives in the face of a rapidly warming planet. Every penny of every donation goes toward supporting these groups and helping us to inform the community and tackle the environmental issues that we are all facing. 

For example, our Student Awards promote continuing education in teaching and employment in environmental sciences. Your donation goes directly to the qualified student. We need to generate funding for this very worthwhile and lasting endeavour. None of your donation goes toward administration as Nature League is entirely administered by dedicated volunteers.

Support to Environmental Organizations

Nature League is involved in supporting conservation efforts throughout Georgian Bay. We provide financial support to a variety of environmental organizations with annual donations and project-based funding.

 

An impromptu presentation by Nancy as Maea was not able to attend graduation because of being away at Olympic Qualifying Trials in rowing.

Student Environmental Awards

The students selected for the Nature League Award must have demonstrated a passion for protecting our natural environment; have contributed in a tangible way to environmental issues in the community; and, have made a clear indication of pursuing post- secondary studies in environmental sciences or associated studies. Four Awards are given each year as selected from submissions provided by the participating schools.

The Awards are presented, where and when possible, by a NL Board Member at the respective Graduation Ceremony.

The 2025 Award recipients were:

Christopher Durance and Sara Currie – Collingwood Collegiate Institute (School does presentation due to attendance restrictions)

Landon Macaulay – Stayner Collegiate Institute (presented by Michael)

Maea Knights – Our Lady of the Bay Catholic High School

Make a Difference and Do Something for the Love of Nature

Nature League is a small organization with a big heart. Every dollar of our fund raising efforts and your donations goes to support environmental organizations and their programmes as well as providing annual Student Environmental Awards to students of secondary schools around Georgian Bay.

Tax receipts will be issued through Canada Helps in the full amount of all donations to Nature League.
